As a part of industry institutional teaching, the students and facultymembers of the Department of Civil
Engineering, Dhaanish Ahmed College of Engineering, Chennai are visiting the Institute of hydraulics and hydrology at Poondi on 1 st April, 2022. It is about 60 km from Chennai, located at Thiruvallur district. It is one of the feeding sources of water to Chennai city. Poondi Lake or the Sathyamoorthy reservoir is the reservoir across Kotralai River with an area of about 121 square miles. The visit would be a great source of knowledge for students to learn about flood control, irrigation and the production of Hydro-
electricity.
